First time at their new location in downtown Traverse City. I miss the charm of their old location and outdoor seating. The breakfast menu is shorter now probably because they have expanded to offering dinner now but that is most likely a good trade off. I'll have to try dinner here. It was an hour wait on a Thursday morning. There were 5 of us including 2 children. Great waitress and service. We ordered strawberry Belgium waffle, paysanne omelette, quiche lorraine, beignets and fries. All were good but a favorite was the beignets. And the fries were meant for the kids as a quick appetizer but were sooo good we had to order more because the adults joined in and ate too many!
It was 'Gay Paree' dining at Brasserie in TC. Authentic French de'cor including the wait staff's uniforms and the French menu flair. Our cocktails were Amie's Mule (cognac) because we were in France TC, Bloody Mary-Brasserie Amie Mix jalapeno spiced, Mimosas-Creme de Cassis Brasserie Bubbles The piece de resistance was the Saucisson & Lentils w/Poached les œufs & 'à côté of bacon Everything was bon appetit! Our Waitress AM was génial. Plan to return for LES SUCRÉES
Loved it so much we made two stops in one day. Just before the Blue Angels put their show on we took in a few vodka tonics with cranberry juice. We went back for dinner. Wow. Hopping and yet still snagged a table in the bar. Cheese plate. French onion soup. Steak. Glasses of Bordeaux. Dessert included by far the absolute best mousse we'd ever had ever. I couldn't find anything wrong with it and admittedly I don't even like mousse except this one. Beignets are to die for...
Great atmosphere, beautiful music, short wait time. We were told the wait would be 45-60 minutes, but it ended up only being about 15. Overall, the coffee was great and the orange juice tasted fresh. The beignets were good and a healthy serving for 2-3 people. My husband had the Croque Madame which was good, but not great. I agree with some of the other reviews that the food was warm, but not hot when delivered. The Aux Asperges crepe was fine, but I was hoping for more flavor. I also didn't like that the asparagus was crunchy inside the crepe and there was a lot of it. I assumed more would be puréed into the sauce for texture purposes. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would be back, but I'd likely come back for some of the apps and coffee as opposed to the entrees.
We came in for breakfast and absolutely loved it! The portions are huge, the food beautifully seasoned, and the cocktails were amazing. The service was great and the staff was friendly. I could only finish about half of my French toast portion! It was so delicious and I wanted to eat more but it's a very generous helping.
